Traceability

We are currently building our traceability program in order for you to find out the source of your seafood. Some of our products have a code printed on the packaging. See the image below

If you have a code, then Trace It! here.

For those of you who purchased our New Cedar Grills, here is some information on the source of your fish.

Black Cod – the current source of this black cod you are about to enjoy is the fishing vessel Ocean Explorer. This vessel was fishing in Area 3D, off the northwest side of Vancouver Island. The fish was caught in May and delivered in early June. Enjoy!

Coho Salmon – the coho salmon you are about to enjoy is caught by hook and line on a small trolling vessel in around the Queen Charlotte Islands. It was harvested last season and has been kept at minus 27 Celsius to preserve its quality.

Albacore Tuna – this albacore tuna you are about to enjoy was caught off the coast of BC by the fishing vessel Tantrum. Dave Chambers who runs and owns the Tantrum makes sure all his fish are bled and frozen at very cold temperatures, right away at sea, to ensure the best in quality.

Sometime in July when you enter this page you will be prompted to enter the code that will appear on the side of the package and you will be given a profile and a bit more in-depth information about the source of the fish.

Thanks for your interest in understanding and knowing about where your food sources comes from.
